ABOUT
Comfort Crew
Our Story.
Founded in 2007, The Comfort Crew for Military Kids (CCMK) is designated as a 501(c) (3) national nonprofit that supports our military by supporting their families. Every day, military families are faced with extraordinary circumstances: being separated due to a deployment, learning to live together again after deployment, healing from visible or invisible injuries, or losing a family member. Children growing up in a military family will experience many transitions and learning how to manage those transitions is critical for military kids. CCMK is there to provide support and resources that help families navigate these difficult journeys, overcome the challenges, and thrive! Our program objectives are to deliver resources that will increase communication within families, teach kids how to understand, manage, and express their feelings, and let kids know they are not alone. We do this through the delivery of support materials, in-person presentations, and online educational resources.
Mission Vision
CCMK’s mission is to deliver proven resources to help military kids and their families connect and build resiliency in the face of extraordinary challenges. Our vision is to ensure all military children receive the support they need to thrive.

Statement of Purpose
There are 2 million children with a parent serving in the military. Present day military life has a unique set of challenges: frequent moves, multiple deployments, visible and invisible injuries, and families being torn apart. Hundreds of thousands of children have experienced emotional trauma because their parent must put the needs of our country before theirs. Too often military kids feel they must shoulder these burdens alone, putting them at risk for a range of emotional and behavioral problems, as well as poor academic outcomes.
We are grateful to the heroes that answer the call to serve and take an oath to defend and protect our freedom. How can the rest of us serve those who put our country first? By taking care of what's most precious to them, their children.
Our Impact
The Comfort Crew for Military Kids aims to provide as much support as possible to military families. Please take a look at our most recent Annual Report and Organizational Financials to see our impact for yourself:
