So far this year, the With You All the Way! Tour…..
- included 20 weeks of travel
- was seen by 12,811 military kids and 25,000 total students
- supported 19 military bases representing all branches of the military
- traveled to 91 schools in 10 different states
- gave 110 presentations
Tour Highlights:
In February, the tour made a stop in El Paso. We received many thank you notes from military children similar to this one: “Thank you for helping me realize I have people who can help me get through deployment.”
In May, a 5th grade student at a school in Florida, came to the presentation smiling and talking and asking a bunch of questions. Both her parents are Air Force and divorced when she was younger. Her Dad was deployed. Sometimes kids become emotional during the presentation. That was the case this day. The girl clapped along and held back the tears until she couldn’t anymore. Her friends were hugging her. Students often convey relief when they express their feelings and find out they are not alone.
